Program Description

In Home Services.

Trauma informed therapy (ARC), wraparound services, educational/employment needs, and financial literacy. The home will also offer job readiness services to include, resume building, mock interviewing etc.

In addition, we offer any youth over the age of 16 with a minimum of tenth grade education the opportunity to become trained and certified in different areas of cosmetology. We have two licensed cosmetologists that have been in business for over 30 years. This is a great opportunity for the young ladies to gain a skill that can earn money immediately. Along with building entrepreneurship.

Education & Support

School aged children will attend school daily as scheduled; tutoring is available and can be provided for all subjects.

Meals

Meals are prepared by staff and will be served in the dining rooms. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks will be provided. All food will be eaten in the dining rooms.

Meal accommodations for religious and medical purposes can provided

Staff will provide advocacy and emotional support along with participating in staffing’s, treatment plan meetings with providers, parents/legal guardians. 

Placement Availability

MimiQue Homes Inc./ A Mother’s Dream will be available 24 hours a day to accept placement of a youth.

Admissions Policy.

MimiQue Homes Inc./ A Mother’s Dream is a group home dedicated to youth females (ages 12-19) that are in custody of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Referrals are submitted from the following sources: 

A State Licensed Agencies, Cuyahoga and surrounding counties, All foster/adoption agencies, and shelters.

A phone interview with case workers and administrator is required prior to admission to ensure the youth fit criteria and coordination to receive all information needed for enrollment.
